• The Victoria institute also known as The Philosophical Society of Great Britain on May 15th, 1905 introduced the claims of the Promised Messiahas. Prof. Griswold’s had written two papers on the Promised Messiahas after visiting Qadian in April 1901. Though his work was entirely polemical, it did serve a means to introduce the message of the Promised Messiahas to western public. When the Promised Messiahas was informed of about Griswold’s critique of his claims he remarked:

These are the works of God; a lot is achieved through the attention of opponents. I have experienced where an opponent stumbles, there lies a great wisdom.”[1]
