Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib

Year: 1970-1973 & 1983 – Present

Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib was born in the village of Qadian on the 27th of August 1943. He is the son of Maulana Abul Ata Jalandharira famously known in the Ahmadiyya Community as Khalid-e-Ahmadiyyat. Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib is a grandson of Hazrat Mian Imam-u-deen Sahibra who accepted the Promised Messiahas in 1902.

His Preliminary Education

Maulana Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib completed 5 years of elementary studies at school, after which he joined the Talim-ul-Islam High School in Rabwah. In 1959 he passed his Matric exam and later in 1961 he also completed his his F.A. studies. He joined Jamia Ahmadiyya in 1965, where he finished his education in 1969.

His services in England

Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib came to the England in 1970 and worked in capacity of a subordinate Missionary of Masjid Fazl London until 1973. These 3 years were spent in the (tarbiyyat) upbringing of the Jamaat members and conveying the message of Islam to British people. He gave many speeches in schools and Rotary clubs, and even spoke many times in Speakers corner at Hyde Park in Central London. He served as the editor of the Ahmadiyya Bulletin, similarly he was assigned as board member for the Muslim Herald Megazine. He returned to Rabwah in 1973. He was later appointmed as the Amir and Missionary Incharge of Japan where he spent almost a decade.

In 1983 Ata-ul-Mujeeb Rashid Sahib was appointed as a missionary in charge of Britain, and the Imam of the Fazl Mosque, he is still serving as the Missionary in charge of the UK. He also serves as sub-ordinate Ameer from 2014 till present. By the Grace of Allah, in 1984 he was able to receive and welcome Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (RH), as subordinate Ameer of the UK, after which he was able to serve under the special instruction of Hudhoor for 19 years. He was given the opportunity to sit in with Hudhoor, in many question and answer sessions, especially Liqa Ma’a Al-Arab. He furthermore began many Peace Conferences in many different areas where he would also stay behind and answer any misconceptions or questions regarding Islam.
